Feedback update

Thank you to everyone who participated and provided feedback on the draft LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Action Plan.

The LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Action Plan was endorsed by Council on November 20, 2023.

Community were invite to provide feedback on the draft actions before it was present to Council for endorsement. Responses to each of the three questions were very positive and constructive.

In response to community feedback we:

Question: What was missing?

Outcome: Addition of an action on community sport, aquatic and leisure facilities and LGBTIQA+ inclusion

Outcome: Addition of an action on LGBTIQA+ public art, culture and heritage

Outcome: Addition of 2 actions on public space

Outcome: Addition of an action on LGBTIQA+ inclusion in emergency relief centres

Question: How can we make the plan more inclusive?

Outcome: The City will continue to be inclusive

Outcome: Addition of an action on LGBTIQA+ people and housing

Question: Other feedback on the draft actions?

Outcome: Addition of an action protecting LGBTIQA+ community members from threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour
