The Community Voice about Community Needs survey closed October 23, 2024. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

Your top five concerns

  • 80% are using the library

    56% say the libraries are meeting, or are excellent at meeting the need

  • 50% are using mental health/counselling services

    25% of those using mental health and counselling services say it doesn't meet the need

  • 30% are using disability services

    16% of those using disability services say it doesn't meet the need

  • 30% are using neighbourhood houses

    14% say neighbourhood houses are meeting, or are excellent at meeting the need

  • 156 people had attended a City led event

  • 58 people had attended a City educational session

When asked what services responders will used in the next 5 years, responses showed:

    will use library services

  • 48%

    will use mental health services

Next steps

Feedback is now being reviewed. Updates will be published on the project page. The City's Community Partnerships unit will use the feedback for their upcoming planning day. This will include planning what the unit could focus on in the future.

Community feedback from the Community Voice about Community Needs survey will also be used to shape the new Council Plan. Planning has commenced and there will be opportunities for community to participate.

The Expression of Interest to apply to be on the Council Plan Community Panel will be published on the Let's Talk homepage on November 18, 2024. There will also be other opportunities to provide feedback throughout the planning stages.
