Responses and resources
You asked if when we use the word City we are only asking about Bendigo.
When we refer to the City or City of Greater Bendigo, it is referring to the local government organisation. This includes the staff, services, projects, resources, infrastructure, programs etc.
Example: The City can’t provide all services that the community may need, but is there anything you would like to suggest we prioritise? The use of 'City' meant the organisation, not the geographic area. If we are talking about the geographic area, we would use the term ‘Greater Bendigo’.
When we refer to Council, this means all the Councillors collectively. A Councillor is an individual member of Council.
As stated on the project page the survey covered all towns and suburbs in the City of Greater Bendigo's local government area.
You asked what we did to hear from a range of people.
The survey was promoted through the City social media accounts, reaching over 26,000 followers, shared with key stakeholders and groups to promote, media release on the City website etc.
In person sessions were also held with people who are harder to reach so they had an opportunity to be heard. This was achieved through the support of Neighbourhood Houses and local services.
We also asked demographic questions including age, gender, and household arrangements so we could see if we heard from a range of people.
Responses showed we heard from people from all age and gender groups, and from all the different household situations.
You said we need information on community services and events. Community need a way to connect with each other. Sometimes it is hard to find information on what is out there to support us.
All events and workshops the City run is shared on the City website and the City social media accounts. Specific areas within City services also have social media accounts which you can follow. All accounts are listed on the social media information page.

In follow up to the survey feedback City staff have spoken with FoodShare. Demand for support with accessing food has increased significantly, but the supply of donations and support has declined. FoodShare will continue to look for ways to meet the needs of the community.
Access to FoodShare supplies for Heathcote were discussed with the organisations based in Heathcote who distribute to the Heathcote community. These organisations chose the option to pick up the supplies from FoodShare's Bendigo outlet, rather than the delivery option.

You wanted to be able to recycle your glass and clothing.
Glass recycling
The City has opted for glass drop off points instead of a fourth kerbside bin. Specially branded skip bins have been placed in easy to access locations throughout Greater Bendigo for residents to drop off their used glass bottles and jars for free, just like many of us already do with our soft plastics, textiles and e-waste.
