Council have adopted the Big Hill and Mandurang Valley Landscape Review 2024. Thank you for your input in July and August to help us develop the review.

We received a total of ten responses. The majority were supportive of the proposed Significant Landscape Overlay (SLO) recommendations. Many were also critical of the limited extent of the area of the controls and the absence of any SLO in the Mandurang Valley area.

We have presented the findings from the community engagement and the Landscape Review to Council. Council resolved to:

• adopt the Big Hill and Mandurang Valley Landscape Review 2024
• Request authorisation from the Minister for Planning to exhibit a planning scheme amendment to implement the review recommendations

This will include introducing a Landscape Management Framework and Significant Landscape Overlay in the Big Hill area.
