Competition closed

Our shared paths are used every day by people of all ages and abilities for a variety of uses including: walking, running, cycling, scooting, pushing a pram and dog walking so it’s important for everyone to feel safe and comfortable.

Local kids from 5 to 12 years of age were invited to enter by submitting a drawing of a symbol or character (human, animal or other) that best represents one of the key safety messages.

Kids were encouraged to make multiple entries to cover the three different safety messages.

Entries could be used in future City of Greater Bendigo promotional material.

Update: Entries have closed. The Youth Council judged the drawing competition and winning entries have been contacted to receive their prizes.

The City of Greater Bendigo Youth Council is an advisory and advocacy committee of between 15 and 18 young people aged 14 to 24 whose role is to represent the voice of young people who live, work and/or study in the City of Greater Bendigo.

Youth Council achieves this by:

  • Providing advice to the City of Greater Bendigo Council on plans, strategies, policies and projects so that they better align to the needs of young people;
  • Engaging with young people to identify their priorities; and
  • Advocating on issues that directly impact young people.
