The draft Greater Bendigo Road Safety Action Plan 2023-2027 is open for feedback until February 24. The plan aims to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes on Bendigo’s roads.

We contracted consultants O’Brien Traffic to develop the draft action plan.

To develop the plan, they used:

• an analysis of five years of casualty crash data
• the feedback you gave us in February and March 2022

You told us that:

• The community relies heavily on car travel
• Most of the community walk or cycle regularly
• People feel less safe on rural roads compared to urban roads
• Cyclists and motorcyclists generally feel unsafe
