Community engagement is not the only way to have your say on things that matter to you. There are many ways to interact with the City throughout the year. Talk to us about things you think the City should know about. For example, community priorities or projects, initiatives and local infrastructure works.

Information you provide to the City helps relevant units to plan and carry out asset renewals. These include footpaths, roads, drainage, playgrounds etc.

Other ways to have your say

This is the City's online engagement platform. You can have your say to help shape Greater Bendigo. If you sign up to Let’s Talk, you will receive regular updates on projects you have followed.

Councillors hold Listening Posts throughout the year.

Listening Posts are a great way for Councillors to engage with the community. You are welcome to come and meet your Councillors to discuss topics that matter to you. Councillors can also make Budget submissions during the planning for the next Budget.

You can arrange an appointment to Meet the Mayor and discuss topics that are important to you. The scheduled times are usually promoted on our social media platforms. Please email Councillor.Support@bendigo.vic.gov.au

Community groups and organisations can apply to present important issues to Council. Topics must:

  • be aligned with the Council Plan
  • meet an identified need and community benefit
  • contribute to the community
  • not be part of an existing program or Council initiative

For more information, visit the presenting to council page on the City website.

The Community Grants program helps community groups to develop projects.
