Site: Ryalls Lane and Sheepwash Creek (Owl’s Roost Reserve) Corner of Ryalls Lane and Strathfieldsaye Road, Strathfieldsaye

Land area: 12.5ha

This site includes parts of Sheepwash Creek and a number of smaller creeks containing Creekline Grassy Woodland and Plains Woodland. The site is highly valued by the community as a passive walking space.


The Friends of Strathfieldsaye Streams and Land (FOSSALS), have been actively engaged along the creek areas and will assist with the management of a newly acquired section on the corner of Ryalls Lane and Strathfieldsaye Road. This site is a popular roosting spot for the endangered Powerful Owl.
