Status: In progress
The City is so thrilled to welcome $5.5 million in funding from the Victorian Government to deliver this first stage of a new kindergarten and community hub for Marong. It will initially respond to unmet demand for three and four-year old kindergarten places in the region. Stage 2 will modify the existing hall building into a more flexible multi-purpose space. Stage 2 is dependent on funding and may take some years to be delivered.
The preliminary site plan suggests the following development features:
- 99-place kindergarten with Maternal and Child Health/Allied health rooms
- Community spaces that are flexible and multi-purpose to support broad use
- Improved connections and accessibility
- Staged development of the site

- What do you like about the masterplan?
- Will the upgrades support your needs and the needs of the community?
- Are there ways the design could be improved?
- Do you have any concerns about the project?
