The project
This project is part of Yaram Yaram Bayikina (Bendigo Creek Reawakening). This project will transform a section of Long Gully Creek to improve habitat and water quality, create a chain of ponds and enhance the community’s experience of the area. The project area extends from Happy Valley Road to Creeth Street.
The project implements an action from the Reimagining Bendigo Creek Plan.
We want your input on the draft concept plan.
Yaram Yaram Bayikina is a partnership project between the City of Greater Bendigo, DJAARA (Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation), and the North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA) to restore sections of the Bendigo Creek and its tributaries. This is a $7M project, funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
