The City of Greater Bendigo and United Cricket Club are turning on the lights from May to September as part of a lighting trial project so you can be active at a time that suits your lifestyle!
Through this project, the new LED training lights will be turned on from 6pm to 8pm each evening to provide a safer, lit environment for residents to access the new oval and 430 metre, double lane, synthetic walking/jogging track.
The new track features a turf and shock-pad system which is easy on the knees, hips and ankles so it’s perfect to use for walking and jogging!
The City has recently expanded the range of recreation facilities available at Ewing Park and hopes to see as many people as possible using the reserve at all times, all year round.
The City will monitor the success of the pilot project to see if it should be continued or expanded to other local reserves.
