The Elmore Structure Plan and supporting documents are currently being drafted. These documents will include the vision and long term planning for how Elmore will be managed over the next 20 - 25 years.

The Plan has considered the needs of the community and will identify what growth opportunities exist. It will also recommend what facilities, services and infrastructure are needed to support that growth, while respecting the existing character and qualities of the town.

A Draft Background Report, Structure Plan and Urban Design Framework documents are expected to be finalised and available for public comment soon.

The Managed Growth Strategy is also in the process of being developed and will be the overarching framework for zoning, activity centres and neighbourhood character for the entire Greater Bendigo municipality. Exhibition of the Elmore Plan documents may rely on the Managed Growth Strategy progressing ahead of this project.
