The 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that calls for an end to violence against women. The 16 Days commences each year on the 25 November and runs through until the 10 December.

Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence (GBAFV) is a local committee that has been in operation since 2010 (previously known as the White Ribbon Day Committee).

GBAFV has traditionally run a Community Event during the 16 Days of Activism (attracting up to 500 community members) however in response to the COVID 19 pandemic the Committee have shifted their focus and developed a calendar of events activities that provide a mixture of online and face to face opportunities.

The virtual walk forms one activity within the 16 Days of Activism Calendar. If you would like to find out what else is happening during the 16 Days visit GBAFV Facebook page.
